Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC 5-Axis Hurco Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate has strong CNC machining experience, excellent blueprint-reading skills, and the ability to independently set up, operate, and troubleshoot 5-axis Hurco machining centers.

This position is responsible for producing high-quality precision components while maintaining tight tolerances, meeting production schedules, and following established quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

3+ years of CNC machining experience preferred.
Hands-on experience with 5-axis CNC machining strongly preferred.
Experience operating Hurco CNC machines preferred.
Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and GD&T.
Proficient with precision measuring instruments.
Ability to perform CNC machine setups independently.
Ability to make tool offsets, wear adjustments, and basic program edits.
Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling, workholding, and machining processes.
Ability to troubleshoot machining and dimensional problems.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Main duties

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate Hurco 5-axis CNC machining centers.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, work instructions, and inspection requirements.
Load and verify CNC programs and make necessary program offsets and adjustments.
Select, install, and measure cutting tools and workholding.
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment.
Troubleshoot machining issues and make appropriate tooling, offset, and process adjustments.
Maintain tight dimensional tolerances and consistent part quality.
Perform routine machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized.
Identify tooling wear and replace tooling as needed.
Work closely with engineering, programming, and quality personnel to resolve machining and quality issues.
Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
Complete required production and inspection documentation.

$25.00 - 38.00 per hour
