The Role:

Mersen UK Teesside are recruiting for a Customer Service Administrator to join the Sales & Operations team, within the Power Transfer Technologies (PTT) business unit reporting to the Senior Commercial Assistant. We are looking for an organised, methodical and experienced Administrator to join the team. Main duties of the role (but are not limited) include:

  • Support Internal Sales team by maintaining a database of FAQ’s and documents.
  • To produce daily and monthly reports for specific ongoing company projects and updating a weekly log to reflect these reports.
  • To maintain our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, Sales Force and ensure details are kept up to date and are accurate at all times.
  • To aid the CCU team by creating and sending customer quotations and inputting orders.
  • To complete inventory and report back to the UK PTT Sales Manager and Sales Engineers on items.
  • Liaise with machining technicians to maintain and organise an inventory list for motor machining tools and PPE and keep the necessary stock levels.
  • To undertake Operational Administration by updating the motors technicians shift pattern rota on a weekly basis. 
  • To ensure all Motor technicians certifications are up to date for ongoing projects.

Please note, this role is available on a Hybrid basis with the expectation that the successful candidate would occasionally be required to attend one of the two available offices. This is to ensure a smooth training and onboarding experience.

 

Person Specification:

Essential Criteria:

  • Candidates must have a background in Administration.
  • A strong knowledge of all Microsoft Office Packages particuarly Word and Excel.
  • Be educated to atleast GCSE level (Grade 4/C or above) in English and Mathematics or hold relevant equivalent qualifications.
  • Be self motivated and target driven to ensure all tasks set are completed on time.

Desirable Criteria:

  • A background in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of Data Input using Sage, SAP, JD Edwards or a similar software package.
  • Any prior experience in Operational Administration or supporting external team members.
