General Description
The process engineer monitors, maintains and improves operating procedures based on production, quality and safety standards.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities
- Monitor the day-to-day engineering and production metrics
- Use experimental design to identify key process control metrics targeted at improved throughput, yields, and downstream product requirements. .
- Implement SPC techniques as appropriate
- Maintain control systems including any data acquisition or management strategies.
- Insure proper output of new equipment as it is installed.
- Report results, activities and recommendations on a routine basis as assigned
- Control and change grade specifications as necessary, following established ISO guidelines.
- Champion projects to improve quality
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering and two to four years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Experience with SCADA software and Lean Manufacturing experience preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
