SUPPLY CHAIN ENGINEER (ST150_02)

Main missions

1    Depending on the scope of the local entity can cover 1 to all of the 6 supply chain dimensions: 1) procurement 2) planning / scheduling 3) transportation 4) warehouse/stocks 5) S&OP 6) packaging (EV)
2    Supports/coaches supply chain teams in his field of expertise
3    If in scope, masters & deploys S&OP process
4    If in scope, ensures customer service (OTDP / OTDR delivery performance) is monitored and improved constantly.
5    If in scope, optimizes processes and the IT tools (ERP JDE), supporting the site in its performance.
6    If in scope, masters the management of inventories of finished goods and components and optimize cash.

Description & Missions

1    Pilot S&OP process:
-    Plans resource requirements (materials and personnel) based on sales forecasts and generates the production plan for the families of products under his responsibility.
-    Manages the load of production workshops according to customer demand and
business requirements.    

OTDP/OTDR customers

2    Schedules production lines taking into account capacity constraints and customer expectations.
Manages delivery time proposals to customers.

3    Processing and monitoring of component and raw material orders to suppliers until receipt and storage, in accordance with the purchase contract.
Monitors and secure delivery times by relaunching suppliers if necessary. Calculates the supplier service rate.    
OTDP suppliers, Turns, DIO

4    Definition and maintenance of management parameters in the information
system / ERP (safety stock, lead time, order point ...) to ensure customer service while maintaining stock at an optimal level.    OTDP/OTDR customers, OTDP suppliers, Turns, DIO

5    Treat overstocks and risks of breakage.
Propose and implement improvement actions to reduce excess and obsolete
stocks (ex: pull flow, KANBAN, consignment stock, etc.)    
Slow movers reduction
6    Helps to reduce costs by optimizing batch sizes (supplier MOQ, production order, etc.)    Productivity of production lines, transport cost on purchases …

7    Launches production documents and follows the progress of production orders until they are closed.    Late Launch of production orders, end of production delay, late lines, work orders not closed end of
month …
8    Establishes with the Sales / Quality / Finance / Production Departments, the process for managing customer products returns and reworks.    
 9    Ensures warehousing activities within the site and associated physical flows (incoming reception, storage, stock-take, production lines supply, end-products
pick-up)

10    Transport:
-    Organizes the transportation program for the raw material and components with the suppliers, and for the end-products to the customers.
-    Is involved in contracts negotiation with major shipping companies.
