Main missions

  1. Supports the Site Director and Site Management Team to (i) define budget and strategic initiatives and (ii) to improve the financial performance of the site.
  2. Ensures the quality of the accounting and delivers adequate financial reporting in the frame of robust internal control.
  3. Regularly informs stakeholders (Segment/Business Unit) of financial performance of Site as well as sales forecasts and results. Implements at local level the Group and / or Group Segment/Business Unit finance policy.
  4. Oversee Financial Controller of second site.

Main duties

  1. Participates in site management meetings. Explains results and gives meaning to financial KPI. Embarks on Site Management team in Finance Actions Plan. Helps to improve perception of finance performance by all stakeholders (operations, sales etc…) .
  2. Writes a report on a monthly basis for the Group Segment/Business Unit to explain the performance of site with regard to business results and cash flow (in comparison with the previous year, forecasts or budget) and follows the site investment plan.
  3. Helps the Site Director to draw up plans to optimize costs and improve cash flow (or with any other project that will have a positive effect on the results or value of the site), then implements and monitors action plans using appropriate metrics. Participates in investment case study and validates financial calculations.
  4. Supervises the production of the budget for the relevant Site-s, in accordance with the directions given by the relevant Group Segment/Business Unit. Implements the relevant reports/metrics. Prepare regular Forecast on
  5. Participates in re-costing of products/items and make monthly analysis of standard costs variances
  6. Carries out and checks (i) internal Group reporting and (ii) in producing statutory accounts and where relevant, tax return. Helps Site with complex accounting operations and depreciations and provisions.  Facilitates the relationship with auditors on the Site under his/her responsibility.
  7. Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  8. Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
  9. Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trail balance and reconciling entries.
  10. Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other documents.
  11. Supervises cash management and bank relationships
  12. Manages site taxes (along with the Group Finance Department), consulting local expertise, especially for transfer pricing.
  13. Informs the Group Finance Department of risks relating to exchange rates and commodities. Manages the credit management of the Site under his/her responsibility.
  14. Protects organizations value by keeping information confidential.
  15. Approves/setup new suppliers.
  16. Implements necessary actions for internal control and prevention of significant financial and legal risks (contacts, litigation, trade barriers, guarantees, ect…).
  17. With the Group and Group Segment/Business Unit, participates in the management of the financial services in the Site under his/her responsibility (organization, recruitment, training, etc.).
  18. Other duties as assigned

Requested Knowledge, Competencies and Abilities:

  1. BA in accounting or equivalent
  2. 5 – 10 years experience in a manufacturing environment preferably make-to-order or engineer-to-order environment with strong knowledge of industrial/standard cost accounting.
  3. Strong Excel skills; able to synthesize large amounts of data and give meaning
  4. Ability to work across functional lines with all areas of the organization
  5. Self-motivated and able to work independently
  6. Experience with an integrated ERP system

Compensation

Salary Range - $85,000.00 - $120,000.00
