Main duties

  • Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating and entering transactions.
  • Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trail balance and reconciling entries.
  • Assist in the annual budget process and report progress Vs budget during the year
  • Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other documents.
  • When necessary, completes external and internal audits by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.
  • Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.
  • Participates in re-costing of products/items.
  • Protects organizations value by keeping information confidential.
  • Approves/setup new suppliers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • BA in accounting or equivalent
  • 3 – 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment preferably make-to-order or engineer-to-order environment
  • Strong Excel skills; able to synthesize large amounts of data and give meaning
  • Ability to work across functional lines with all areas of the organization
  • Self-motivated able to work independently
  • Experience with an integrated ERP system
