Main missions

 Mechanical Engineer will work with the production team and other team members to produce manufacturing drawings. The individual will be responsible for mechanical designs and designs for manufacturability. Plan and create multi-level bill of materials and work instructions based on the estimates and the processes involved.

Main duties

· Produce drawings based on operational guidelines

· Plan, Organize and Prioritize tasks and resources

· Design fixtures, as required, to reduce the non-value add time and to maximize the machining

   Envelope

· Prepare manufacturing cost estimates based on established costing procedures and manufacturing

   Processes

· Plan and create multi-level bill of materials and work instructions based on the estimates and the

   processes involved

· Calculate pricing and issue quotes to customers

· Highlight manufacturing concerns and identifies them within the quotations

· Manage new products development from design to manufacturing

· Interact with customers concerning operational and technical matters

 

Requested Knowledge, Competencies and Abilities:

Mechanical Engineering Degree

· Minimum three year designing experience in CAD systems

· Complete understanding of drafting standards, geometric tolerances, and interpretations to various

   standards

· Understand process control, capabilities, and various methods of manufacturing

· Understand CNC machine shop practices, processes, tooling and theory of machining preferred

· Cost estimate experience preferred

· Must have a valid driver’s license and passport (occasional international travel will be required)

 

Work Environment

This job operates in a production office environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes and odors. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Compensation Data

Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 based on expierence
