MISSION

In the role of Senior Business Analyst you will work with functional manufacturing resources across multiple business units to translate business needs into common enterprise systems solutions as appropriate.  The position also leads/monitors the ERP implementation tasks of local resources for the business unit.

 

Additionally, you will work with end-users across all business disciplines to translate business systems requirements into functional specifications including testing, configuration, documentation and implementation.

 

DIMENSIONS OF THE POSITION:

  • Monthly Review and Documentation of completed projects. 
  • Supports all Business Disciplines: Manufacturing, Engineering, QA, Cost
  • Functional Manufacturing application expert for the supply chain/ manufacturing business
  • Key Manufacturing/Information Technology liaison; global EP Functional Core Team member
  • Local Project Manager for business unit ERP deployments in N. America, Europe and Asia
  • Understand / Document Supply Chain/ Manufacturing Current State
  • Re-engineer business process in accordance with JD Edwards ERP best practices
  • Define / Document Future State
  • Research ERP Software capabilities to provide best practice solution to meet Supply Chain / Manufacturing business requirements
  • Drive consistent enterprise business data and business process solutions
  • Define quality test scenarios to validate and ensure software quality
  • Execute ERP system test scenarios for Manufacturing modules.  Conduct all types of application testing as needed, including unit, regression, load, and user acceptance testing methods.
  • Analyze formal test results to discover and resolve defects, bugs, errors, and configuration issues
  • Produce reports and documentation for all testing efforts, results, activities, data, logging, and tracking.
  • Analyze documentation and technical specifications of JDE ERP software to determine its intended functionality.
  • Implement Supply Chain software and software enhancements ensuring no adverse business impact
  • Develop, distribute, and coordinate in-depth end-user reviews for modified and new systems or applications.
  • Develop end-user business/system documentation
  • Develop and deliver business/system process end-user training
  • Other assigned duties

 

Requirements:

Formal Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, Masters degree a plus.
  • APICS or equivalent certification preferred

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • 5 years ERP implementation experience, with a proven track record of accomplishments
  • 10+ years relevant Manufacturing/Supply Chain work experience
  • Strong understanding of Oracle JDE E1 ERP Manufacturing Module best practices and industry proven practices and has re-engineered supply Chain/Manufacturing business processes as appropriate
  • Application implementation and support experience with ERP (preferably Oracle JDE E1); PDM, Inventory Management, Shop Floor Control, Manufacturing Accounting, MRP, CRP
  • Full cycle ERP Implementation experience
  • Strong knowledge of system testing and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
  • Conversant with open platform reporting techniques; Scripting, SQL,.BI tools ie Cognos
  • Intermediate to advanced skill level in O365 including  Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Visio, Access and Project a plus.

Additional Information:

This role is based in the Newburyport, Massachusetts office.  Work From Home up to 2 days per week, 3 days in office required.
