MISSION
The Pricing & Profitability Analyst is responsible for analyzing pricing strategies, cost structures, and profitability drivers to support data-driven decision-making. This role partners closely with Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to optimize pricing models, improve margin performance, and support revenue growth while maintaining competitiveness.
DIMENSIONS OF THE POSITION:
PRICING ANALYSIS
- Analyze pricing structures and discounting practices
- Develop and maintain pricing models to assess revenue and margin impact
- Monitor price realization and variance vs budget
- Support pricing approvals and deal reviews with financial analysis
PROFITABILITY AND MARGIN MANAGEMENT
- Conduct customer, product, channel and segment profitability analyses.
- Identify margin improvement opportunities and cost drivers
- Track contribution margins and support margin improvement initiatives
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION
- Partner with Sales and Marketing on pricing strategies
- Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain to understand cost drivers
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to management
REPORTING AND DATA MANAGEMENT
- Develop dashboards and reports to track pricing and profitability KPIs
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across pricing and financial systems
- Automate recurring analyses where possible
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Analytics or related field or equivalent practical working experience
- 2-5+ years of experience in pricing, profitability, finance or analytical roles
- Strong analytical skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- CPQ and Power BI experience preferred
The expected salary for this position is between $65,000 and $75,000 and will be eligible for incentive pay. This range represents a good faith estimate for the position and actual compensation will be based on numerous factors including knowledge, locations, skills, training, and experience.
