Main duties

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Set, program, and operate CNC turning and/or milling machines (Siemens controls)
  • Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, models, and specifications
  • Select tooling, optimise cutting parameters, and adjust offsets for efficiency and accuracy
  • Carry out in-process inspection using micrometers, verniers, gauges, CMMs, and other metrology equipment
  • Troubleshoot machining issues, adjust programs, and improve processes to reduce downtime 
  • Ensure machine maintenance, tooling care, and adherence to QHSE standards 



Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum three years’ experience in CNC machining (programming, setting, operating)
  • Strong knowledge of Siemens controls 
  • Skilled in precision measurement 
  • Capable of interpreting technical drawings
  • Time-served apprenticeship
