Mission

Mersen Greenville maintains one of the largest and most technically up to date specialty graphite machining facilities in the world.  We specialize in machined graphite and rigid insulation products that supply various industries, globally.

  • Sufficiently package outgoing shipments in a manner that will prevent damage while in transit, including building crates and installing insulation
  • Perform quality control and follow work instructions
  • Willingness to communicate and work within a team environment
  • Maintain cleanliness in work area
  • Promote, comply, and always emphasize safety
  • Ensure that all shipping related “lists” and “paperwork” are being accurately completed
  • Actively participates in shipping corrective actions, continual improvement initiatives, and training
  • Must be willing to develop and implement processes and procedures to improve the Shipping Department
  • Responsible for training new department employees and or cross trained employees
  • Responsible for ensuring export compliance is being met that are dependent of “shipping department responsibilities”
  • Ensures equipment is in good working order prior to use.  Fill out maintenance requests as needed
  • Ensure shipping consumables are stocked at the appropriate level and reorder as necessary
  • Ensure received packages and material is stored and disseminated properly
  • Participate in Management Safety Visits as needed

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred
  • Analytical and numerical skills; ability to perform mathematical calculations and work with decimals/fractions
  • Use of basic measuring tools (tape measure, etc.)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a fork lift license
  • Capable of standing and being mobile for long periods of time
  • Basic computer skills; Microsoft Word/Excel
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
  • Good interpersonal skills
