Mission
- Understand specifications of the tasks at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
- Program CNC Mills by translating instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
- Configure machines by loading raw materials, installing necessary tools, and adjusting machine parameters (speed, feed, tool settings) based on job specifications.
- Prepare test runs to check if the machines product outputs are according to specifications.
- Continuously inspect parts for compliance with specifications using measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
- Prepare and operate CNC Mills to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
- Keep accurate records of machine settings, parts produced, and any adjustments made during the production process.
- Enthusiasm to continually learn new skills and techniques
- Maintain cleanliness in work area
- Always promotes and emphasizes safety
Required Skills
- CNC Mill experience (three years minimum Mazak or Haas preferred)
- Proficient knowledge of common CNC milling techniques and practice
- Proficiency in writing and interpreting G-codes and M-codes to control CNC machine movements
- Skilled in reading technical drawings and blueprints to understand the specifications of the parts being manufactured
- Understanding and application of GD&T
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred
- Analytical and numerical skills; ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Ability to work with decimals and fractions
- Use of basic measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.)
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
