Main duties

Load material either directly into furnace, or into saggers, and then into furnace.

Follow load specifications regarding placement of material; monitor furnace for proper time and temperature cycle.

Need to use lifting equipment, such as cranes and or forklift.

After furnace cycle, unload material to designated area. If material was loaded in saggers, dump the contents per established procedure.

Prior to next load, inspect the furnace for repairs, including insulation, bricks, coils.

Make necessary repairs, or enter work order to maintenance as appropriate.

Complete all documentation regarding cycle and material.
